I give this four stars because my calves have gotten way smaller but you have to have like really skinny calves I still could fit into them and I went with a 6 and 1/2 and if your foot is smaller and your ankle is small mine are both. You might want to go down a size or two next time. I'm going to get a size 6 and see if that's better I still love these it's just they scrunch up at the bottom no matter how hard I tug them up and I've got skinny leggings on and socks. tldr; good fit w/ slight stretch, nice support, no slip and a little height. 9/10 almost perfect! PROS: * fit — these fit great with a good width for my calves, and don’t seem to be too tight/loose while wearing. I wore them recently on a rainy errand day, and they didn’t become tight with swelling or loosen around my calf. * support — they’re sturdy with a good, almost cushy sole, and after a half day of running around they were still comfortable! * traction — I wore these in Oregon rain, and there wasn’t a time I felt like I was sliding going from outside rain to inside stores. CONS: * some with wider calves may find they don’t stretch quite enough, and I wouldn’t recommend them for muscular calves at all. * they do want to bunch around my ankles, but that’s fixed if I remember to bunch my socks down to match. These knee-high boots look very high-end! The leather and the stretch panel on the side of the calf really make them stand out. I love the chunky heel..it adds stability and comfort while still looking stylish. The stretch around the calves is perfect for wider calves like mine, making them easy to slip on even without a zipper. They do run a bit big though..I’m a true size 9 and there’s about a half-size of extra room, so I could’ve gone with an 8.5. Overall, super comfortable, easy to wear, and beautifully made. Read more
