For me, these boots are a miss. My calf is thin and these end up sagging and looking baggy. They are a shiny type material that really needs to be tight to look good, I really couldn't make these work. The boot itself is quite comfortable, but there needs to be some type of elastic where the zipper is so these can stay tight to the leg. Read more

The boots arrived securely and looks similarly to their photos on the Amazon marketplace with one main caveat. I ordered the size 9, which is a half size up for me because I like to wear thick fuzzy socks with boots. For this pair, I find the fit to be very much appropriate for the size. I really want to love these boots, and I'm sure some people will, but they just didn't work out for me, unfortunately. To start with the positives, the entire "shoe" portion of the boot is ridiculously comfortable. The boots have a thicker, tall, block heel with a subtle wooden print on it and medium brown beneath the rest of the boot. These boots don't look like they'll be comfortable, but the sturdy and bigger heel, sturdiness of the base, and comfort of the soles all contribute to how cozy these boots are. The boots also feature a full-length side zipper from the shoe base all the way to the top of the boots, which I very much appreciate as a person who likes to layer clothing compulsively. The bottom of the boots look attractive, but the rest of the fabric material on the legs make the footwear look a bit gimmick-y. Despite the foot area being immaculately comfortable, the leg portion of the boots are constructed from a different fabric than the bottoms, which is lighter weight and stretchy. I don't think the stretchy fabric looks the same in real life as it does in the advertisement, as in the photos the boots give the impression they will stay up on their own. The lighter weight leg fabric is also comfortable and lined with a sleek material. The problem is that this fabric completely lacks structure. It is very flimsy and floppy and falls all over. Worse yet, I have particularly small / thin legs (I typically wear children's sized clothing because it's what fits) and the leg fabric is super big on me. While it is stretchy, that isn't helpful to me because the fabric is too abundant to touch much of my skin. The boots are also very wrinkly and hard to keep wrinkles minimized in due to not wanting to melt the material but lightly steaming it per the wrinkles. I think these boots would fit most people, including those with wide ankles and calves, especially because the fabric is so stretchy. That in itself is a strange juxtaposition to the structured and sturdy bottoms. I liked these boots more in their advertisement photos than in real life, and I doubt I will end up wearing them because they just look goofy on me with all the loose extra fabric. The shoe portion of the boot is impeccably made, the boots are a dream on the feet when walking, and the sizing of the foot is completely spot on, but ultimately the loose, wrinkly, lighter weight leg fabric looks cheap and kind of tasteless. They almost get a silly go-go boots vibe from the lighter fabric. Nonetheless, if these boots appeal to you and you think they will serve you well, I wouldn't dissuade you from ordering them, as I do feel that especially the base of the shoes and their perfect design. It's rare to find white boots with a wooden heel and brown bottoms in my experience as well, if that's a specificity for which you're looking. Pretty decent quality, fair value, and perhaps more ideal for costumes - I still wish these boots fit me better.
