These boots are true to size and reach up to my knees (I am 5’1”). The zipper is only around the ankle area, so I don’t have to worry about having the zipper potentially rip any tights or sheer socks I may wear above my knees. The black color is a little shiny, but not to the point where it looks really fake. I have calves on the smaller side so the boots are a tiny bit loose but would fit perfectly for layering knee high socks over some leggings or tights. These boots are so cute. They look like superhero boots! I love that the sole of the boot comes out further than the shoe part. The rubber heel is super comfy, and these have a good bit of cushioning. These are very comfortable. The heel is high enough to give you a boost, but not too high that it would make them uncomfortable to walk in. The material is rubbery, but highly stretchable. I wear a size 10 and these fit perfectly in length, with some room to spare as far as the width goes. I feel like someone with wide feet could fit these. I may just wear some thick socks with them. They definitely fit 14-17" calves. They are a little snug on 17" calves, but they fit. They have a half side zipper which helps with putting them on. These boots will go with so many outfits. They seem very well made and well stitched with no loose threads. There are no weird smells emanating from the shoes. These are an excellent value and I highly recommend them. Read more
