What look are you trying to achieve? How large are your calves? Do you like chunky heels or stiletto heels? Those three factors will determine whether or not you like these boots. A good size for someone with large calves. And the expanding gusset gives even more room for expansion. (see photos) If you don’t have wide calves, there is enough room to tuck jeans into these. But with leggings – there will be a gap at the top unless you have wide calves. For normal size calves, the tops are too big to provide a smooth fit. Do you like the look of a gap or very loose fit at the top of the boot around the calves? If not, then these are not the boots for you. You can see from the reviews that people define “wide calves” differently. The media could not be loaded. You better grab some of these!! They are comfortable-ish. I’m going to get some little pads for the ball of my foot part to put in the and I feel like they will be perfect. I don’t wear heels so I think that’s my problem… someone that does wear heels could probably wear these all day with no issue at all. They aren’t too tight on my feet or around my calf. I have very muscular legs and I don’t have an issue with these at all. I love the square-ish toe. Material is like suede and velvet got together and had a baby, so it’s very soft. They will most definitely need to be waterproofed. Great quality. Soles are good. Stitching is great. Zipper is sturdy. I don’t have a single complaint about these! Great price point. I did get them on a heck of a sale but even not on sale, they are a great price for what you get. I read through thousands of boot reviews before I found these. They come with their own dust bags and little styrofoam feets to keep the shape of them…. Unless you are a kick em off in the closet floor and leave em where they land kind of person… I am not so I will always put the feet forms back in and back in their bags and back in the box. These boots are really comfy. The calf area is loose and floppy. The material itself is super soft suede material. But it’s the color that gets me. It’s not really a brown it’s more of an orange color in my opinion. Read more
