Seriously awesome boots that will turn every head in the room! Yes, you do have to snap on the outer pieces yourself when they first arrive. But I actually really like that opportunity for customization, since there's so many different ways that you can make them look. If you want them to look exactly like the photos, just look carefully at the photos and then line up the snaps one by one to recreate the shape. It's really not difficult...you just have to pay attention and copy the photos exactly. Style: these boots are NOT messing around. They are knee-high, they are faux alligator-pattern leather, they are high-heel stilettos, they are gathered and ruched and yes, girl, you CAN rock these boots! They look awesome with a tight little black dress for going out on a hot date. But they also look awesome with a pair of skinny jeans and a turtleneck. I love the pointed toe as well. Comfort: considering that these have a high stiletto heel, they're surprisingly comfortable. I wouldn't wear them for an all-day museum visit when I'm on my feet for 8 hours, but for going out to dinner, drinks, some dancing, that sort of thing...they're pretty darn good. I feel reasonably stable when wearing them. I did add some thin half-length insoles to make the soles a bit more comfortable. Material: they're faux leather, so all the standard caveats apply: They don't look like real leather if you're up close. They make your feet hotter and sweatier than real leather. I ordered these in burgundy, size 8.5, and they fit true to size with plenty of room around the calves. The material looks great and feels durable, and the color stands out beautifully. The tricky part is the snap-on covers that create the slouchy look. If you line up the snaps exactly as shown in the video or photo, you will not get the same effect. I had to alternate the snaps and adjust the fabric to shape the look I wanted. It took some experimenting, but once I figured it out, the boots looked amazing. They can also be worn without the covers for a sleeker look. I love the creativity they allow, but the setup is not as simple as advertised.
