She opted to ask for this in a medium so that the sleeves would not be so long. The medium fits perfect and the sleeves come to about an inch before the knuckles. The sweater is a comfortable weight, but a bit itchy (that is why 4 instead of 5 stars). The sleeves are definitely bell-style, but we would not call the style "bat wing" - it is simply loose around the middle. The quality is excellent - it looks and feels like an expensive sweater.
