Womens Linen Blend Midi Skirt Reversible Front-Back Slit Design with Side Pockets

Every once in a while this older gal still has to dress up and pretend to be an adult. This filled a gap in my wardrobe since I’d lost considerable weight and sizes and did it very well. A recent event required me to look more professional than my usual very casual tee and shorts summer standards. This skirt helped me put a good look together and I’m very pleased with how it turned out! A little context may be helpful. I am small breasted and have an apple body shape which makes it difficult to find clothes that fit well and look nicely complementary. Being a moderately size large aging hippy chick in her 70’s and 5ft 10in tall I guess my tastes can be eclectic at times, but tend to like comfortable standards most of the time. The skirt seems well made and I’m very pleased it has usable pocket, but only for small light things like a car key, CC, driver’s license and maybe a little cash. It’s true to fit and complements even my apple body shape. This skirt is find for me as I’m replacing my old wardrobe for a downsized one. It’s versatile, easy wearing and I like the feel/look of the linen fabric. It moves nicely and most of all lets me dress myself up for those special times I need to seem more professional that my usual hippy chick style. That’s why I’m giving this skirt 5 stars. Overall, this is a nice skirt. It is made well, I love the material, its light weight, it does fit nice and seems true to size, AND,.is comfortable. Everything about it is all good...except one thing, and this is NO reflection on the seller, which is why I gave it 5 stars. For me, it screams church lady. I have nothing against the church lady. I love the church lady, but... I am just not there yet. Or... maybe something my grandma would wear. I loved my grandma, but I am nit there yet either. I am hoping I can find a way to make this comfy skirt look a little more trendy and stylish, because it is a comfy skirt. But for those of you in question, it does have a very reserved look about it. It’s usually very hard for me to find long skirts that fit me right length wise. I’m 34 years old but a petite 4’11” and dresses and long skirts are usually always wayyyy to long. I was happy to find a small in this skirt fit me PERFECTLY and I am not able to say that often. It’s cute and comfortable. Love the double side pockets and little slip in the bottom of back of skirt. Cute, casual skirt minus the excessive wrinkles of linen. I normally wear XL but wanted this to be a bit more fitted and got the large instead - it fits, but my butt is overly emphasized, so I would say order this true to size. On my 5'8 body, the length hits just below my knee, and it can be worn both ways as the side pockets are not angled in any direction. The elastic waistband is thick enough for it to sit comfortably on the body. I got the brick red and it's a watered down shade, more rusty but I like iit. I have the perfect t-shirt and sneakers to wear with it, big emphasized booty and all! Read more

I really liked the fabric on this skirt. It’s a nice weight for summer. The material is quality and the design is okay. I’m not a fan of high waisted items, but I know everyone else is so I’m not holding my personal preference against this skirt. It is exactly what the item describes - high waisted with pockets. I feel like the pockets with the high waist make my torso bulky, but everyone seems to want pockets and high waist. If these are your fashion goals, this skirt is perfect for you. Read more
