I was really eager to get these shoes; who doesn't love a pair of sassy red boots? Unfortunately, they didn't quite live up to expectations. First, they are a lot brighter red that in the photos. This was no big deal for me but could be for someone expecting a more subtle shade. Second, the height was a bit of a puzzle. As you can see in the picture, they are mid calf height (as described), which would be okay if the top was a bit more narrow so they could be easily worn under jeans, but they are a bit wider that fits under pants. (Maybe you are supposed to wear them with a skirt or dress, but I prefer knee-high boots for that.) But, the biggest downside for me was the sizing; I usually wear a 9.5, but these were very large, even with thick socks. I gave them to my niece, who wears a size 10, so all is not lost. Read more

I love these boots. they look great and fit perfectly. They are a little harder than average to break in. But once you get them broken in, they feel quite nice The only con I found is that they are not for those with larger calves My calves are not wide but they are a little larger than the average calf Also, you may need to wear thin socks with them because they tend to be a bit tricky to get on. When I opened the box, I was apprehensive about the fit. I have a wider calf and these did not appear wide at all. My surprise, they fit-with some room to spare. A perfect fit for me ! These boots make my feet look smaller. Not sure the reason for this, but I’m not complaining. Might be the rounded toe. The outer material of the boot is a luscious rustic brown. It is supple and makes it easy to get the boots on. There is top stitching on the outer side of the boot. It is both decorative and functional. These boots are not lined. However, they are comfortable and warm. The feature of the block heel and textured sole make it easy for walking or standing. These boots are not slippery and do not leave marks on floors.
