This dress in one word is frustrating. On one hand, the design is so cute, the black bodice with white trim is classic, and the silhouette is so fun and flattering. I've been looking for this style dress for a long time (they're really trendy right now), and while I've found some that work, none fits me as well as this one! Like an actual glove. If the fabric, odd stitching, and quality control weren't issues, this dress would be fantastic. I'm 5'2, 150 pounds, and while I'm usually a medium, since in small up top and bottom heavy, I can usually size down with dresses that flare like this. As mentioned, the small fit very well. Another reviewer had mentioned that that the fabric was costume-y before but I thought maybe she was just used to more high end clothing. She was absolutely correct, the material is thin and a bit rough. A dress like this would ideally have thicker fabric and a zipper rather than going over your head. The stitching is also very sloppy with loose threads. This might have been forgivable if the design was executed correctly but the top portion is the main problem. In order for the back to sit the way it does in the listing photos, you have to fold the white trim down. But when you do, it twists and the bad stitching becomes visible. I think it was supposed to come stitched down and was manufactured incorrectly. I wouldn't mind folding it over myself, but you'd have to fold over the front and back so there would be no twisting, and as stated, when you do that the sloppy stitching is on full display.
