These winter boots are an overall win for me. They are very lightweight, which is nice since most winter boots are unpleasantly heavy. The sole is reinforced at the contact areas at the ball and heel. The upper does appear to be real (bovine-derived) leather. The footbed is comfortable with moderate arch support and a good heel cup. Additional insoles are provided. The forefoot is generously wide (I got the x-wide) and I find that my size 38.5 (claimed to be a women's 8.5) runs a half size large. The ankle area is a bit tight and may require the boot to be mostly unlaced to get your foot into it, especially if you have foot edema. Worth the asking price of $110. Read more

The media could not be loaded. These are not worth 130 bucks, MAYBE 15 bucks, tops. These are VERY cheap, super lightweight, really hard to get on, even when loosening the laces all the way. I have tons of shoes, they are all size 11, boots too, but I got the 11 wide because I planned on using these as snow shoveling boots, and these are so small. Just putting them on had them falling apart, the materials are that cheap. They're warm, comfortable on foot, good support, they have fur in them, but they are not worth it, at all. Read more

If you have wide feet, you will probably really like these. They are too wide for me and I’m not crazy about how my feet look in them, but that’s no fault of the shoe. They are a basic style and perfect for outdoor use in winter. There’s a large amount of comfortable cushioning and they’re easy to put on and take off. They have a good amount of support and can be worn comfortably for long periods of time. Keep in mind that the toe box is very wide, which will work well if this is what you need. Update: I wore these for a 9-hour standing shift at work and the previous day walking around campus and up and down steps a bit. They’re definitely more comfortable than other shoes I have. The lifted heel insert relieves pressure from my heel but pushes my toe into the toe box a little, but I rarely notice it. Definitely doesn’t bother me as much as it helps my heel. I still wish there was a bit more squish in the heel part of the padding, but maybe I need to add one of the other inserts for more padding. I am able to push my foot down into the boots hands-free; they don’t need tied tightly to stay on or work effectively. Highly recommend. Original review: I stand for long hours in a high visibility position where appearance is important. I developed plantar fasciitis and have had to change to a shoe completely different from the type I usually wear. The readily available comfort brand has a signature style of contrasting the sole from the rest of the shoe, which only draws attention to their dorkiness. One wouldn’t imagine orthopedic boots targeting elderly diabetic women would be any better, but somehow they are. It helps that the soles are the same color as the uppers, but they’re also shaped in a more flattering way. The heel doesn’t jut out obscenely in the back; it’s more rounded and sloped. The toe box slopes from the pinky toe to the big toe, concealing the clownish width that other orthopedic shoes seem to accentuate. The appearance of these boots isn’t perfect, but at least they don’t look like they were prescribed by a physician. I added the “TPU,” which lifts my heel and directs more of the pressure forward, giving it a break. There is quite a lot of support for the heel, but I wouldn’t mind even more squishy cushioning back there. It’s hard to imagine someone with arthritis, challenges with balancing, or difficulty bending having much luck getting these boots on and off, but I could be wrong. I’ll let someone else speak to that. I’m pleased that these boots manage to provide so much room in the toe box while looking only vaguely dorky.
