Womens Plaid Skirts High Waisted Knot Front Asymmetrical Hem Mini Skater Skirt

I bought this to wear to a Celtic Festival over another skirt and with a corset. I cut off the “arms” so it looked like a normal skirt and it looked really cute (with the corset on you could not see where I had removed the arms). It had a lot of movement while dancing and I received so many compliments on my outfit! It was a little warm but it was also a 95 degree day and was humid but would probably be great in the fall! Personally I would not wear this on its own because it is short. That being said it’s not excessively short so I think it would be ok to wear on its own, that’s just not my style. This skirt was what I was looking for and didn't know it. I needed something to go with a specific pair of shoes and knew this was it the moment I saw it. Fit was true to size in my experience, but the material was much thinner than expected and not as soft (I guess I was expecting something more flannel shirt like and this isn't it, it only looks like a flannel shirt). The waistband made it easy to put on and take off and while I think it was cute on me (very slim legs and "no hips" - I'm basically straight up and down with little to no curves), I can see it being too much volume and bulk around the hips and thighs on someone with a larger hip/butt/upper thigh area, because it is a bit voluminous. I haven't tried washing it yet, but I do have some concerns about how well it's going to hold up and keep its shape since it's an unusual construction and maybe not the best quality. It's not bad, it's just not the high quality I would prefer. I'm definitely keeping it because I like the way it looks and feels, but I'm not going to be buying any more colors like I'd originally planned.
