Let's start with some background information. I'm a nurse. A patient injured my back so I have a intervertebral disc that is herniated with sciatica pain. Why mention this? Because this causes me great pain daily. When I Choose footwear I have to ensure the footwear doesn't cause any increases in pain. These boots have great tread! I purchased four pair: black &white flowers, purple fading to green, blue fading to green flowers, and gold striped. I wore a pair of these boots during a snowy work day. These boots have great traction on snow. Once inside, the boots do not squeak! YAY! The boots are true to size. I'm a size 8 but have a wide foot so sometimes i might need a 8.5 or even a size 9. I ordered these 4 pair of boots in size 8. All four boots fit the same & without any issues. The toe area provides enough room to not cause any rubbing. The heel of the boots are stable. I do not feel any imbalances when walking. The top of my feet do not have any rubbing when wearing these boots. These are zip up boots. Once you adjust the shoestrings to your preference, you will enjoy zipping & going on with your day. These boots do NOT cause any pain on my feet, back, or sciatica. My back injury is very reactive to the slightest negative stimulus, which can cause me to be in pain all day/night. I have worn each pair of the boots everyday since they arrived about two weeks ago, they have not caused any negative stimuli or increases in my back/sciatica pain. So far, these boots definitely are valuable for the money and have versatility to wear with many outfits! I ordered a second set of boots! Also, because of the type of material used these boots are not inclined to stain or leave your feet wet when walking in snow or rain! That's a plus where I live! These looked cute and full of potential on the page. I'll be honest, they look even better in person. I wear a 7.5 and with socks they fit just about right, they run a touch large. The top of the boot is a little big, but it can be tightened up a bit with tighter lacing and pulling the buckle one more notch, which is the extent of that. Incredibly comfortable, easy to put on and take off with the side zipper. As good as they look off, they look even better on. Absolutely love them. Despite having an almost 5 inch heel, these are surprisingly comfortable, due to the chunky heel and platform sole. They run true to size and it has a side zipper, so I don't have to mess with the buckle or laces. These are so edgy and cool looking. I cannot wait to wear these in the fall with skirts and tights.
