I really that the material is stretchy and breathable, one of the sides has a drawstring to tighten/lift it. The drawstring was a bit too long for my liking, but easy fix by trimming it. In the summer, I love wearing skorts! Once I put this one on for the first time, it became a summer staple for me. I love it because it's not the typical skort style. It's a sarong style skirt, with shorts beneath, so the back looks just like a skirt. The opening that shows the one leg of the shorts, is adjustable in a ruched style. I ordered Large, even though I'm a usually a Medium, as I was worried they'll be too short. The Large fit me perfectly, so I'd say size up. The length was still a bit short. I'm 5'4", size 8, and they hit above mid-thigh. I found the waist to be comfortable, and the stretch fabric to be of high quality. If you ever play a lot of pickleball and see those cute skort style pants these are it! I love how they fit and feel when playing and have a hidden easy place to put a ball. The material is quite nice and stretchy and feel decent on skin though i do feel like it holds a little bit of heat which was okay for me. To me this is a very stylish cut and really tapers well from waist down to high thigh area to give it a cuter look. This is a cute tennis skirt with built in shorts. It has a tie on one side that allows you to adjust the length. I agree that the strings are way too long to tie neatly into a bow, which ends up looking a little off due to the extra extra length. I may need to cut them as another reviewer mentioned.
