I wore these on the first rain of the season, and my feet stayed dry. They do look like waterproof material but I recommend spraying them with waterproofing spray for good measure. The reason I say that is that when I came home from my walk, which it was really just a light rain, I noticed the sidewalk was not very wet. So I filled the sink and put one boot into the water, counted to 5 and took it out. After a couple minutes I could feel a dampness coming thru the toe area only. The some is good for wet ground, the fur is definitely synthetic but feels nice and soft on feet. They run true to size, the price is comparable. The other thing I noticed is they do not keep your body heat inside, my feet felt very cold. I kept waiting for them to warm up but they just didn't. These snow boots were so lightweight and comfortable! I could not believe how light they were unlike most snow boots that are heavy. They fit great and the velcro straps allows you to adjust to your perfect fit. The black color will not easily get dirty and the material is also easy to clean. Kept my feet dry in the snow and the rubber bottoms had great traction keeping you from easily slipping. These boots are durable and the inside kept my feet warm with the furry inside. I am very pleased with these boots. I was worried they will be heavy, but they are lightweight. The bottoms are non-slip. I tried them on and they are very comfortable. I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly with a thicker sock. I spilled water on them and it stayed on the surface, I will update more on this when I test them in the snow.
