I loved this dress so much that I ordered another in green. It’s a perfect fit—straighter fit but not too tight around the hips. It works as a professional work dress, and it makes a good outfit for the holidays. Read more

The main purpose of this dress was to wear on a bridal shower. However, they sent me the wrong color I ordered. The material is nice. It goes down without any pronunciation of my belly or my back. However, it’s not stretchy at all so if you don’t get the right size, you’re not gonna be able to wear the dress. The dress is made of a cool fabric that can be worn during spring or fall. I’m writing it as three stars because they sent me the wrong color. Read more

I ordered this dress in black, size large. I’m 5’3” and 150#. I wondered if this dress might look better in medium and a little more "fitted" but I usually order a large and it fits just right overall. The length on me is just above the knee, which is what I wanted... I didn’t want a mini dress length. The design of this V-neck shift dress is extremely basic, and it screams for styling with something more, such as a vest, jacket, sweater, scarf, jewelry, a long-sleeved t-shirt, etc. I have so much black and white in my closet, that this dress will serve as a nice base for coordinating with these pieces to create a more interesting look (and/or with a splash of color). On me the sleeve length is longer than ¾ length as specified. So overall, if you are taller, you will get a mini dress with ¾ sleeves, but if you are short like me, you will get a longer dress with longer sleeves. It still looks nice though. This dress will look great with tights, boots, as well as summer sandals. If there is one thing I would like to see is some type of special embellishment to make this more than such a “minimal” dress. But perhaps I will enjoy all the versatility such a plain black dress offers up! That’s mainly why I ordered it, but still... Lastly, I must say that the material and construction quality is quite good. For a very versatile, classic, simple dress with lots of styling options, this dress this is a good value. Read more

I didn't like this. It was supposed to be a mini dress. On my 5'4" frame it hit my knees so could be used as a dress. It is really shapeless and unflattering. Maybe if you're tall and lithe, this would be flattering, but not on my short, hourglass figure. I also didn't like the fabric which was polyester-like. And the green color was not pretty. I gave it 2 stars because I could see it working for someone younger, taller and thinner. Read more

I so wanted to love this dress, and I don't. First, the sizing is off; I ordered a medium and it's not. I'm 5'6 and 150pds, but the dress was tight in the sleeves and around the hips. And I'm not hippy, though it does have pockets so that's a plus. The material is absolutely not breathable so be warned if you wear this and it gets hot. I can almost guarantee you that it will stick to you like paste. It's almost like a curtain or something. Giving the illusion of being light-weight when it's not. It also just doesn't do anything for me - it's not form fitting, and I don't mean tight, but it just kind of hung there, except around my hips - LOL. There is no give in this dress - AT ALL! So if you go into it thinking that, you'll be disappointed. I'll wait until the late fall when it cools down, and wear it with some knee high boots or something, maybe I'll feel better about it by then. My daughter commented that "It was a cute smock". Definitely not the look I was going for but that's what she got from the look of it. Nuf said... Read more

So, I saw this dress online and thought, "Elegant! Retro! Pockets! My wife will love it!" The reality, as is often the case with online clothing, was a tad different. Her first impression was that it felt… substantial. Almost like it was made from the same material as my less-forgiving work trousers. She described the polyester as stiff and heavy, definitely not the breezy cotton the description might have hinted at (oops!). While the darts around the bust were a valiant attempt at shaping, the overall vibe was more "boxy structure" than "figure-flattering flow." My Wife's New "Shift" Dress: More Like a Sturdy Box Than a Flowy Frock (But It Has Pockets!) However, not all was lost! The pockets were a major win – apparently, they're real, functional, and don't add any unwanted bulk at the hips, which is a rare victory in the world of women's dresses. The 3/4 sleeves hit her just right (though for shorter folks, they might end up being full-length). At 5'6", the length was just above the knee, teetering on "mini" territory for taller individuals. She thinks it's a decent option for work or more casual settings, especially in the cooler months with some boots. Though, she did raise an eyebrow at the price for the fabric quality. Still, the lack of clinginess and those glorious pockets might just make it a keeper in the rotation. Read more
