I'm a sweater-weather girly, and have lately developed a love for dresses as well, so this seemed like an awesome thing to try. Normally sweater dresses are pencil dresses, which can be sometimes pretty unflattering on any stomach that is less than flat. So I was excited to try this one and see if it broke that mold! The Good: •Color is exactly as pictured - a nice, rich black. •The material is soft, and I don't find it itchy. •The weave pattern is cute and didn't have any loose threads. •Arm length is generous, and the skirt is also a decent length - although most of us would likely wear tights or leggings with it anyway. The Bad: •This length always makes me want pockets, and of course there are none. •Honestly, for the style, I guess I thought it would be more flattering? It hits my waist at the right part but still feels like it makes me look wider than I am. •The biggest issue: The yarn used is too thin for you to wear this without a tank top and leggings or something similar underneath it unless you want to give everyone a show. The arms are fine, but any stretch at all and it's showing off your bra or whatever else through the knit holes. The Takeaway: If I tried this on in the store before buying it, I wouldn't buy it at all. Because I already have it now, I'll try to see if I can make it work. Maybe adding a belt could work. But I'm disappointed that it isn't more flattering and that it's basically see-through, even though the sleeves are comfy and the length is nice. Read more
