Truly a lovely robe. The silk is soft but has a bit of weight to it. It’s not heavy but it’s not the most delicate silk I’ve felt either. The color is so lovely though and the pattern is vibrant. Being selfish, this is not to be a gift but I did want it to be confident in gifting one in the future, particularly for an item that is more than a hundred bucks. That price point may be tolerable for most, but as a gift by me sight unseen other than the online view, it must be for for an important person/occasion/milestone like Valentines, Mothers Day, or recovery from a major bedridden health crisis. This is silk as stated (fabric accuracy not always the case when buying other clothing) and it is quality fabric, stitching and print design. The red I ordered is like a burgundy. The colors of the scene are exquisite - an antique gold landscape featuring flora (pink peonies, red and pink roses, red berries, greenery etc) with cranes in various poses partaking of the plants. The robe has a loose solid color belt with two belt loops along the sides and has ties on the inside of the garment to keep the robe closed. In trying to find anything subpar with the robe, this is the only aspect which could be improved. If one wears the robe cinched up, the crane who is standing with its neck extended upward has its head concealed with the robe closed. There is only one way to cross the robe and close it, otherwise changing sides, the interior ties show. I find that crane to be the primary focus that leads your eye upward to view the entire picture as one would enjoy a painting. Having its head cut off, so to speak, interrupts the movement for the viewer, so only the crane who is feeding from the ground is featured. Since how the robe is crossed to close is standard, I wish they’d reverse the print so the feeding crane is covered and the upright one is fully visible when the robe is cinched. Unless worn, loose and open, the belt does bisect the upper part of the “painting” from the lower part, and the same on the back. With the back, the horizontal branch placement at the top avoids being concealed by the belt and is visually interesting - the back seems very thought out in terms of a design/painting and how it will be viewed on the human form with the belt. This truly is a work of art, and since wearing it, one can feel how luxe it is, but cannot enjoy the beauty of it and oneself in it, unless constantly looking in the mirror - which I do repeatedly when I put this on. I almost want this to be a framed kimono so I can display it. At least anyone who is around the wearer can enjoy it (and the wearer) if they are a fan of art. I’m almost tempted to wear this in NYC loose and open (over clothing of course) like one would a large shirt or duster coat (I have seen someone wear a gorgeous antique robe on the subway - in NYC you can wear anything there and it’s ok!). Aside from that, when ordering, it was such a dilemma in choosing the background color - most are spectacular that would look good on my skin tone, like the burgundy I selected. There are two standard scenes (the crane which I chose, then another with different birds) with a different set of colors used depending upon the background color you choose. The silk is incredibly smooth against your skin and feels very high-quality and luxurious. I ordered the deep black color with the bright red birds and berries. The robe has ties on the inside of the garment to keep it closed and a solid black belt with two loops along the sides to keep it in place. The one size works well for a 5’4” 135 lb woman. It washed well (colors are still vibrant and material held up well) and it did not wrinkle much while air drying. I got this TicyLuck Brand women's silk kimono robe in black. The variety of colors and the brilliance of them all made it very hard to decide which to get. I am very pleased with the black which is sexy and luxurious. The robe is 100% Mulberry silk which is a very high-end silk fabric. The robe is well made, and light and cool. I am 5’4”, 145 lbs, and I love how perfectly this fits. There are inner ties and then the outer belt. The picture of the crane is clear and beautiful. This robe arrived in a lovely box suitable for gift giving. I would not hesitate to purchase this exquisite robe.
