Size up, they run small and a bit tight
I love the slouchy and rugged look of these boots. The faded out olive and brown colors on the outer layer give these boots a beautiful worn-in feel. The material is synthetic leather that is smooth to touch. The zippers are purely decorative, so they do not slide up or down, making these boots not adjustable. They are a bit tight and not so easy to put them on if you have feet that are wider than the average. I usually wear a size 8.5 and I ordered these in a size 9. They feel tight to slide them on; my feet slide into the boot from the top, through two layers of synthetic material that is not breathable and there are no zippers or buttons to help adjust the width. It helps to wear thin pant socks or to put talcum powder inside the boots prior to putting them on, to help my foot slide in easier without getting stuck in the boot.
