These boots are as pictured and they seem nice and warm. They're very lightweight so they won't be weighing your foot down as you walk or anything like that. They are made well. They don't seem like they're going to break easily, but I won't know that until I actually try them in the winter in the snow. I plan on keeping these in my truck just in case I have an emergency and I need to have some kind of a snow boot on hand. They are warm upon trying them on and I feel like they fit to size so I would say if you want room for growth or socks just order a size or a half size up.
