This is a beautiful skirt! There is a soft lining underneath and the outter fabric feels like organza and has a fine shimmer/sheen throughout. I think the material quality is good. It's totally opaque thanks to the lining. It has an elastic waistband that makes it easy to slip on. I do wish it had inner drawstrings to tighten, as well as pockets. I'm 5'2, 150 pounds, and normally a medium on bottom. I went with a large because I wanted it to sit at my hips rather than my waist. It fits pretty well and feels comfy on. I like when a flowy skirts sits at the hips and sort of dip around the midsection to show a bit of belly (I feel like that keeps it from looking too formal). I show it worn 2 ways: 1) sitting on the hips but dipped down at the navel, and 2) higher up worn straight accross (covering the tummy area). I like both looks for different occasions. Overall it's a fab dress, the skirt is nice and full, and it makes me want to twirl. The color is to die for. It's such a fun skirt! It's a bit too long on me but nothing a pair of heels won't fix. This is an elegant black skirt! It is more of a light airy satiny feel fabric with a sheer fabric on top. It has an elastic waistband so it hugs your waist nicely. This is a skirt you can dress up with such as a cocktail party or a romantic dinner! I can see this be dressy enough for a New Years Eve Gala. It flows with movement making it gracefully beautiful! I ordered the 2X and this skirt was perfect! This is a true high waist MAXI skirt, it touched the ground. I’m 5’6 and a half and though I’m not the tallest woman, I’m definitely not the shortest! My legs are longer than they look, so maxi skirts and maxi dresses sometimes don’t come past my ankles. That’s not the case with this skirt! It’s long and flowy and silky, it’s all the things! Enjoying this skirt very much, it's super shimmery and flowy which feels great with each step in it. The fit is perfect with the wide-band waist and the length is a little on the long sid,e for a maxi dress so it might be best worn with some heels. One of only few skirts I've found that I can comfortably wear in public as a guy without a problematic anatomical silhouette. That said, I have some critique. The outer layer feels a bit too plasticy (think the texture of a cheap highschool graduation gown). The underskirt is softer but still has some of that plastic quality. And I have to knock off some points because there are no pockets. All clothing should have pockets. It fits well, and I think the look is okay, even if it falls considerably short of glamorous. The media could not be loaded. This skirt is GORGEOUS! I mean really, really beautiful. I love everything about it. It looks so attractive on the body. Its got an elastic waist that has gathered fabric. Usually that would add bulk to the waist but not on this skirt. It just drapes beautifully from my waist down to my feet. The overlay fabric is sheer and has a lovely sheen to it. There's also a matching lining making it not see through. This skirt is lightweight and feels so comfortable on. My favorite part about this skirt is how the fabric flows as I move. I feel great wearing it! It's a skirt I will love wearing to lunch and dinner dates. I can also wear it on other casual occasions. I'll easily dress this skirt up with a sequined top and high heels for a night out. It's just an amazing skirt. I'm going to be very careful washing this skirt.
