This shirt is made from a lightweight, stretchy knit fabric -- I wouldn't call it a sweater, but it's very comfortable! The collar and shirt tail are a lightweight broadcloth, like a dressy blouse would be made from. I ordered a small, and it fits as expected, not tight at the bottom, which I like.
