Beautifully Made but Runs Very Small & Short
This sweater is lovely in quality, the knit is well done, the stripes are clean, and it is surprisingly warm, especially for a slimmer-style pullover. The material feels nice against the skin and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. From a craftsmanship standpoint, it’s genuinely a beautiful sweater. Unfortunately, the fit is where this fell short for me. I intentionally ordered this two sizes larger than I normally wear because I wanted a relaxed, slightly oversized look. Instead, it fits extremely snug and short. I’m only 4’11” with a short torso, and this sweater is still cropped on me, which was very unexpected. I do have a larger chest, which may contribute to the fit issue, but even accounting for that, sizing up twice should have provided more room than it did. To put it into perspective: this sweater fits my step-daughter perfectly, and she wears an XS, is not curvy, and has a very straight frame. She actually loves it and will be keeping it, but that really highlights how small this runs overall. If you are petite, slim, and prefer a very fitted look, this may work well for you. However, if you’re curvy, busty, or hoping for anything even remotely oversized or comfortable, I would proceed with caution (or consider sizing up even more, if possible). I truly wish this had fit me because the quality and warmth are there but the very small, short fit made it uncomfortable for my body type.
