Velvet fabric was cut upside down! Nap goes wrong direction.
I’d give this velveteen blazer lower than 1 star if I could. Forget that the cuffs are way too large in proportion to the sleeve, or that the buttons are coming off and there are loose threads everywhere. Knew there was no lining except around collar. But the worst? The pattern pieces were cut when the fabric was upside down so the nap is inverted! I managed a factory that designed and made hand print fabric and clothing. I layered and cut the pattern pieces and supervised the sewing, etc as part of my duties so I know about these processes. With this blazer, when I layed a hand on this blazer, if I rubbed the natural way, downward from shoulder to hem, it was like petting a porcupine. If I ran my hand upward, from hem to collar, smooth as velvet should be. Who does that kind of manufacturing? What a horrible product because this seller doesn’t supervise its manufacturing. Just horrid shoddy work. Do not buy any of their products if this is an example of the quality of work they sell. HORRIBLE. Read more
