Comfortable fit. Nice, thin corduroys.
These corduroy pants are well made and fit comfortably, in all areas. The material is soft, but not the thick softness of more modern corduroy. The material is thin and so is the corduroy striping. The fabric has a good amount of stretch in it, so there is no binding at the waist. Also, there are two places on the waist that have short elastic sections to help with a comfy fit. The legs have the tell-tale stitching to make them barrel pants near the inside knee area, however the legs are not overly wide as other barrel pants that I have seen. They taper to a narrower fit near the ankles. There are front and back pockets. The front ones are really large, and the back are average sized. The button and zipper work well. I was surprised to find the zipper is a plastic one, but it runs quite smoothly. Plus there are belt loops on around the waist, so a belt can be worn on these, if desired. The green color does remind me of the vintage green shades from my youth. Since these are made of 100% polyester fabric, I will be washing them on a gentle/cold wash cycle and tumble dry on low heat. That works for most everything that needs a little TLC when it comes to laundering for me. I would say they are not too much of a fuss for washing them. The description of these corduroys is a little confusing for me. It says they are vintage styled, but also says they are barrel jeans. I only learned of barrel jeans within the past couple of years, and that would not be old enough to be "vintage". Just a minor issue for me, though. :) Perhaps because I'm short at 5' 4" tall, these did not sit at a low-rise position for me. They topped up at my navel. I did order my normal size of XL for these. All in all, these cords are a nice pair of pants, and I will recommend them. They seem to be of good quality, look nice, and fit quite comfy on me. Since the material is thin, they will be good for fall and spring, but not so much for the cold days of winter that I have where I live. As for the price of $39.99 (8-16-2025), I feel with the thinness of them, that's a bit expensive. Around $10 less would make them a good value. Read more
