First, I have to say that I was skeptical about the shape of this skirt. It's sort of a weird combo of tulip skirt, mermaid skirt, and midi skirt. But, honestly, it works. I think the fit is actually better than what's in the main picture. The pictures that more accurately reflect the fit are the ones with the model in the white top. It's not as "flare-y" as it seems in the main picture. I actually think it's really flattering. Of course we're all proportioned differently. I'm 5'4 and don't have an hourglass figure. The denim is soft. It doesn't have a weird smell that some denim comes with. The color looks just like the picture. It feels like denim, not super thin denim-like material. The only downside was the that sizing is a little off? The size chart only shows fits for "bust size" and "length". So, that's not helpful at all. I'm in-between a medium and large but have been sizing down to a medium in most things. I ordered a medium and it's really tight. The length is great (5'4), and it does go on, but it's really tight at my waist. If I would have gotten a large though, it would have been too long and too loose at the waist. If you're a solid medium (8-10) you'll be just fine. If you're a 10-12, it might be pretty tight on you. Maybe un-fastenable.
