Womens Vintage Wide Elastic Stretch Waist Belt Retro Cinch Belt

So, here's the scoop. I ordered this in a LG/XXL. I usually wear a US size 4 or 6. I'm 5'4" tall & weigh about 132lbs. I don't mind wearing skinny jeans or leggings that are snug as long as the waist isn't tight. I cannot stand a snug waistband. I wear a 38C & my hips are only about 35". But, I'm really shortwaisted. Usually, when I wear a belt that is wider than 1/2", it just looks awful on me. I hate the look of my chest sitting right above my belt. It's just not a good look. Plus, after 6 spinal surgeries, I couldn't possible wear a belt that didn't move w/ me. This belt has a faux leather front w/ very attractive hardware. There are 2 hooks that hold it closed. It stays hooked until I unhook it. The rest of the belt is elasticized. I purchased it to wear it w/ Dutebare Womens Short Sleeve Cold Shoulder Shirt Drape Dolman Top Casual Loose Tunic Blouse Purple M & Afibi Women Full/Ankle Length Blending Maxi Chiffon Long Skirt Beach Skirt (Large, Design N(7)). I bought the skirt in a large so it also had a bit looser waist. I decided to try a belt to finish the look. I purchased this, received it, & liked it so much I then ordered it in white. I am shortwaisted w/ long legs. Wider belts are usually rather uncomfortable to me. This one is fantastic & really makes the outfit look finished. I'm coming up on 60 yrs old. While I see seller photos of younger women wearing the maxi skirts w/ spaghetti strap tops, I can't pull that look off. But, w/ this belt, I can put together outfits that look fantastic and are super comfortable. My waist is about 29". The XL/XXL belt fit me w/o hanging off or looking too big. But, it also didn't need to stretch. It did stretch if I was sitting & needed it too. It's flexible. I'll use this belt & the white one w/ other outfits. I love the look of a wider belt & am really happy to have one that I can comfortably wear. The belt is well made and the hardware is attractive. The metal isn't weak or cheap. I'm not at all concerned that the clips, for lack of a better word, that fasten the belt in the front will not hold up. The width of the belt is 2.4". It gives me that wide belt look w/o being so wide that it's uncomfortable. I guess you could call this the short girl's wide belt. It's a great price too. I might have been able to do well with a smaller size, although I think it works. It’s lovely and a very good price. I went with a larger size based on reviews. Wow! This belt is perfect! I purchased it to wear with a peplum shirt and it elevated the outfit to a higher level. I am going to order a red one and maybe even a black one. They look great with tunics and to complete a skirt and shirt outfits. The elastic is good. I bought the XL and was at the at the low end of the measurement so it is not tight at all. Love the belt it is pretty and seems decently made, bought one, it showed up in a timely manner but had dirt on it, I sent it back and reordered another, it came in today and this one is dirty on the back as well, seems to be marks where the belt was folded on itself maybe in a damp storage place. I have several other colors and no issues this is 2 times with a white one. I am simply going to use a stiff brush to see if the marks will go away, So far only the white one has had this issue. Exactly what I needed to add some waist definition to some of my shapeless dresses. I'm 5'5" and about 150 lbs. My waist is about 33 inches which is right on the edge of the S/M and L size.
