I'm always on the lookout for comfortable clothing that will be acceptable in a work environment, and I thought these would fit the bill nicely. While they are extremely comfortable and look in the advertised picture like they would be perfect for an office job, but when I see them in person, the material makes them look more like athleisure than dress pants. The raised seam down the front is an attempt to create the look of a sharp crease, and even the addition of the buttons cannot hide that the material is more suitable for working out at the gym than working in an office. Then there is the fit. With a fabric this stretchy, I would expect the pants to be very forgiving with different body shapes. Maybe it is the way I am built, but the pockets stick out strangely. You can see this in my picture; it is the pocket, not my hip, that is causing the weird bulge. I did not like these pants. The material is a polyester stretch blend, and it feels more like gym wear than business casual. I work in a professional environment and wanted something for dress down days that still looked appropriate without being too formal. These did not give that look at all. They also ran large on me. I am 5'3 and 149 pounds, so I am definitely not on the smaller side of a size small, and they still felt big. The color is nice, but the style and fabric did not work for what I needed. I ordered my regular size of 2XL in burgundy in these wide leg pants and I love them. The material is awesome and the color is really pretty. These fit true to size and feel great. I listed my measurements below for reference. The seam down the front of the legs gives a slimming effect and makes the pants look more high end than they are. They’re a great value at around $20. That said, there are a few things to be aware of with this item. There is a lot of room in the waist but no belt loops. Makes me a bit worried about the pants falling down during the day. The pockets bulge out, which I wouldn’t expect with the stretchiness of the waist. The material isn’t see through but is thin enough to show my tucked in shirt, which is quite thin itself. These pants don’t offer any compression in the stomach area. If that’s something you try to avoid, you can wear a compressing bodysuit and it would look great. Due to the stretchiness and lack of compression in the waist, these could also work as maternity pants (or Thanksgiving day pants lol).
