I bought these because of a recent bought with Melanoma. I needed more coverage than shorts. I bought one capri and two pair of the long pants. I love them because they are not too hot in our Missouri heat. I stayed comfortable in them with a temperature of 95 and humidity at 80%. Bought for a trip to the BVI - XL for a size 16-18 - COOL and comfortable on a hot sunny day and offered TOTAL protection from the sun on a 5 hour fishing charter in an open boat with no shade. I was thrilled to find them for tennis as i’ve Had skin cancer living in sunny Arizona . Today I wore them for the first time but before I got out the door a dot of my facial sunscreen fell on the thigh ; immediately I used cold water which made it worse as you can see, I washed them when I got home from tennis. Recently i’ve Purchased a sleeves top a jacket a scarf these pant and a long sleeve top for our triple digit temps which are a third of the year. The clothing is pricey but am grateful for the protection . Sunscreen makes you hotter as your skin does not breathe as most tout being waterproof a plus.
