Unfortunately, this sweater has a terrible smell. It smelled a little bit when I first opened it but that's fairly common with clothes. I assumed it would get better with washing it, as most clothes do, but it got significantly worse. I washed it in a laundry bag and hung it up to dry. Nothing else in the load of laundry smelled so it wasn't our water or our machine... it was just this sweater. It even made my hands smell after touching it so I definitely can't wear it. I'm still keeping it at 2 stars in hopes this was just a problem with the one I got. The look is nice and fit is just as expected so if you get one that doesn't stink, it would be nice addition to your wardrobe. Material also isn't too scratchy, but I'm hesitant to believe it's actually merino wool. Read more
