I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 depending on brand but per the reviews, I sized up to a 9. They fit perfect with enough room to double up socks if needed. Wore them out in the snow playing with my kids and my feet stayed dry and warm. The heal part of the sole is firm like others have said but I found them to fit great and be comfortable! I've never had a pair of duck boots before, but everyone in Wisconsin should have a pair of no-nonsense snow boots- even if they don't wear them daily. I like them. The plaid makes them more fashionable and the lining seems very warm. The bottoms are certainly waterproof, we're under a weather advisory with ice in the forecast so we'll see about slip-proof, I'm sure they will pass the test. The only thing is these are the second pair, the first pair I ordered fit just barely without a sock, it was an 8 and I sent them back. In shoes, I take about a 7 and a half, if no half size I go up to an 8. However, I do have a somewhat wide foot. The pair I received today is a 9 and they fit with a sock. There's a little room at the toe. They do make my feet look bigger but I think these are probably better because my feet do puff a little sometimes. If I still had my shoe stretcher I might have kept the 8. They do run very small. They're cute. I'm sure they are very warm. Certainly waterproof. Hopefully, they will keep me safe on the ice. The sole certainly looks like they will. So just order a lot larger than what you normally wear. Read more

These boots are really cute and well-madehowever, if you’re going to buy, make sure you buy a size up. I normally wear a size 7 and these were too small and tight with heavy socks. so I had to return for size 8 next size up. They definitely can keep your feet warm. There is not much arch support.
