Get the blue one if you need your upper arm not to move. I started with the gray one but the elastic arm band did not hold my arm stationary. The upper arm band of the blue one is not elastic and it is connected to the body of the brace, rather than the elastic. See photos. Works really to keep my arm from moving and it's much more comfortable than the brace the hospital gave me. I did use the over-shoulder strap from my hospital brace, on this one. At this point in my recovery, it feels more secure. Removing one star, because I wish the product description would be clear about the difference in brace types. This item was great, but the size chart is not clear. I measured as it said to, I was 39" so I ordered the size 30"-41" and it was too small. It is 41" long to the tip so there was very little overlap, and it felt tight. I had to return it for the larger size that says 42"-54", it is much better, very comfortable. FYI, when I measured it, it is only 51" long not 54" so order the larger size if your close to the limit. I have a non-union fracture in my left humerus, and this helps keep my arm at my side and still be able to type and use both hands.
