I love the size of this reflector for my grow light. Even with a heavy BR30 bulb, the reflector doesn't get hot and works beautifully. A redesign of the clamp would be most appreciated, but it does the job. I am older, with arthritis, and still had no problem squeezing the clamp. I plan to buy a second one. Read more
I had one these but I misplaced it so I bought this clamp light for under $12 delivered. Works perfectly, light weight, good heat disputation and a large bowl hood for those gnarly grow light bulbs. The clamp works fine too, even with the heavy duty gnarly grow light bulbs. Hooked up to plug in timer and it’s time grow something gnarly. Update: I went to put this clamp light away and low en behold I find my old one. Ha! Dueling gnarly grow lights. Whoooo boy it’s time to grow more…. Uh roses, yeah roses. Read more
I am using them with grow lights. They are reasonably sturdy for the price. The clamp on the lamps holds tight to the board I have the lamps clipped to, and the reflector adjustments are working just fine. I can't say how they would hold up to a lot of adjustments of the reflector position, but so far I am pleased. UPDATE: These are fairly flimsy. The reflector has trouble staying on and the clamp for positioning doesn't work very well. After some investigation and experimentation, I saw that the clip that attaches the clamp to the bulb housing takes up enough room such that it pushes the reflector away from the threads the reflector screws on to. Careful placement of the reflector and clip seems to have fixed that. The clamp problem was due to the post interfering with the clamp, so that the clamp couldn't squeeze the ball that allows the lamp to swivel in a controlled manner. I managed to bend the end of the clamp so that it doesn't hit the post, and that allowed the clamp to actually squeeze the ball. I know that isn't very clear. Suffice it to say that I think I was able to make the parts work, but it might ont hold and shouldn't have been necessary. Read more

This lamp didn't get a 5 star rating only because the nut controlling the tilt up/down of the lamp could be designed better. Even when tightened down hard, the lamp head angle sometimes will slip but only if jarred sufficiently or through above average vibration. I fear though, as the lamp ages, it will only become looser or the threads will strip and it will have to repaired or altered to support the lamp head. But in its defense, I should mention I'm using it with a rather heavy (ceramic) full spectrum LED plant growing light. I did compare the lamp to 3 other lamps we had on hand and it is made with heavier duty materials than the others - 1 of which didn't have a tilt adjustment, the other 2 did and were worn-out or broken, so apparently the tilt adjustment stability is an issue with other manufacturers as well. Otherwise, the lamp has been performing perfectly and seems to manufactured/designed well. I especially appreciate the clamp to secure the lamp to an object. It is especially stiff and stays put very well. I also like the rubber tubing included on that clamp to help ensure against slippage. It would nice if the power cord that was a little bit longer. My decision to buy this particular lamp was based on price, the pictures and other reviews and I am happy with my purchase. Read more

Was hesitant to buy because I had read other reviews saying that it had arrived dented (but still working). I took a chance and it made it to me yesterday in perfect condition. I screwed in a brand new bulb, I had also bought here on Amazon, and it works perfectly. Read more
Arrived damaged, but needed it for a chicken emergency. Still works though. I like the clamp. It has good grip and doesn't slide. Read more
