heat absorbing and heat retaining
If you look at the manufacturer’s website, they have mostly five and a couple four star reviews of this protect, and generally of their mattress toppers. I’ve purchased several of these mattress toppers from the woolroom, and tried to write reviews on the actual manufacturer’s website, but was able to unable to figure out how to do so. Even when I contacted customer service, they gave me a link, told me to scroll to the bottom of the page and said I would be able to submit a review there. Nothing! So I am extremely suspect of the reviews that are on this company‘s website. The reason I went through all the trouble to get to this point to write a review is because I’m lying here burning up. so far tonight, I’ve woken up at 3 AM and again at 5:30 AM. Every night, I wake up after several hours in bed, feeling like I’m in a hot cocoon. Right now, I’m sleeping on the organic washable mattress cover from the woolroom on top of a Tempur-pedic mattress, and I’m not kidding, every single night. I wake up because I am so so hot. Tonight I finally thought—what is happening here, is this the mattress pad or my mattress? So I started peeling back layers. It’s the mattress pad! This thing isn’t temperature regulating at all, it’s heat absorbing, and then heat retaining. It is not breathable, it’s like I’m lying on a heating pad almost. The quality of the product is great, it’s plenty big and it’s sewn nicely, it looks good, but functionally, this is one of the most expensive and horribly hot mattress covers I have ever used. That I had no luck getting a review on their website, and that nobody is mentioning this in those reviews, especially when their website promotes the temperature regulating properties of these sorts of mattress covers, there’s a disconnect here. Something’s not right. Read more
