When purchasing a Poweredge server from Dell, additional drives were much more expensive than purchasing these trays along with some Samsung Pro SSD drives I found at https://amzn.to/2unhxvp These trays worked just as well as the OEM trays in my Dell Poweredge Server. Pairing these trays up with some aftermarket SSD's saved me a fortune. These trays include a bracket for 2.5" drives, which you will need if you plan on using SSD drives. Also, these trays included stickers for the front of the tray to ID drives & included all the screws needed to install a drive of either 3.5" or 2.5" into the tray. Even without the adapters or drives in them they are way too tight. The last inch or so would not go in and they were very tough to pull out. I do not believe there has been a change in the size of they bays on the 15th Gen Power Edge so maybe just a defective batch.
