This sweater was ordered for my daughter who had the following feedback... As a middle school teacher, I am always looking for trendy, classy, new pieces to add to my wardrobe to wear to work. The fabric is super soft and I like the pattern that was knit into it. The buttons are also flattering to the piece. The buttons are purely for decoration as the front and back are tacked together at the site of the button. I appreciate this, because then the buttons cannot accidentally become undone. I ordered this vest in Beige and the color is true to the picture. The vest looks like the picture, however it is a bit shorter than depicted. I am 5'6" and an average build, height, etc. I ordered a M (the size I typically wear) and it fit well. However, the vest is slightly shorter than depicted in the pictures. Like I said, I am average height and have normal proportions and it the hem ended at my hips. It is still a flattering garment, that is just something to note. I love the structure of this garment. Because of the thick fabric, the garment holds its shape well and is a beautiful piece. I love styling this garment. It has been worn with a black turtleneck and black jeans, but it would also look really cute with jeans. Finally, I love that it is machine washable. The media could not be loaded. I haven't styled it right in the video, but it's a really cute vest. It's a good quality, nice thickness and stretch. It does not feel cheap. It's very comfortable and the size and fit are as expected. I followed the size chart and got an XL (which is bigger than I normally would have ordered). I plan to wear it over a more fitted turtleneck. The buttons on the side are sewn on; they don't function aside from keeping the front and back connected. I loved the idea of this sweater vest and had an idea of how I hoped it would look and what I would like to pair it with. Upon receiving it and trying it on though, I am a little bit disappointed. First off, you can’t tell from the pictures but it is a larger, wider fit than what I was hoping for, mostly in the midsection and shoulder areas. This is just a recommendation that I would make, but if they had included two more buttons on the sides, giving the wearer the option for a more loose or close fit, I think the vest would have been a more attractive fit. It’s much boxier in appearance than I was hoping. In addition, when I received mine, I noticed something that looked like a little fabric pill on it, and I pulled it, trying to remove it only to realize it was thread coming out of the vest… It’s soft and comfortable and would pair nicely with button down tops layered beneath. My normal M size felt small for this vest. The neckline was borderline cuffing and just didn't offer enough room making it uncomfortable. The sides that comes with buttons are attached and non-removable. So there's this awkward rise that makes the vest sit high on the hips and I was hoping for a more relaxed fit with it flowing downwards. It's this odd cinched waist vest look and I was going for more a straight fit look. As for color, it's gorgeous. Sadly, the fit is just off for me. I would recommend sizing up for a baggier look.
