Not too flimsy, no chemical smell as I have experienced in other products. Thick enough to genuinely protect what is inside but thin enough to be flexible. They ended up being much bigger than what I needed it for (bagging cotton candy for party favors) but would certainly use again for other things. It would be the perfect size for loaves of bread, even wide bread like sourdough. I will note that they don’t come with any kind of twist tie or anything. About 30% of the time, i wish the standard size gallon plastic bag was just a little bigger. These bags solve that problem. I first discovered the oversized plastic bag when i began taking a few extra bags from the Orowheat bread section at Costco - then they stopped doing that buy 2 thing, and i had to start buying my own bags! Half size foil steam table pans fit comfortably in these bags, tons of stuff stored in the garage, a cover for a small stand mixer, stuff you want to keep dust and bugs away from. i know the world doesn't need more platic, but these things are awesome.
