Medium weight jacket, good heating element, very heavy battery pack.

For me, this is what I'd consider a Oct-Nov or March-April weight jacket alone. It's not heavy nor is it light, it falls in between with the sleeves being noticeably less thick than the torso, which is fur lined while the sleeves are not. It's easily wearable on its own, the exterior material is tough but still soft and flexible, unlike some Carhartt offerings which feel stiff and uncomfortable (in my opinion, yours may vary.) The heating element works, on high it will definitely throw some heat, I use the medium setting more often than not. I led off with mentioning the weight of the jacket because the battery is serious, it's not compact or light. That comes with the territory of being able to throw heat for hours on end, and I'm not filing it as a complaint, but it is noticeable having the battery pack connected in the jacket because of it being kind of a medium thickness, it will add weight and kind of throw off the balance of it a bit while being worn. Again, it comes with the territory of having that kind of juice, but wanted to make note of it for anyone who may be new to heated gear and not sure what to expect with it. I think the jacket looks good and I've gotten a few compliments on it. I have the tan color. At 5'9" 175lbs, I would describe the medium (which is my normal size for most brands) as a good fit, maybe a BIT loose in the torso and a hair long, but everyone's built differently. It may have been designed to be a bit long normally given the sleeves line up perfectly on me. I wouldn't recommend going a size up or down at all. If I have one issue with the whole product, the included charging cord is hilariously short. Like, a few inches at most. I don't think it would've been asking too much to get a more reasonably sized cord for the price, but is that enough of a complaint to take away a star, not really. Seems to go on sale often, so keep an eye on the price. I managed to nab it at $100, but it's not a bad value at $130 either. Just don't expect it to be a unit made for extreme winter duty, because even though it's heated, it isn't. It's something I'd use down to 30-ish degree weather, beyond that I'd want more of a dedicated winter coat with much more thickness and wind protection. Read more

Stylish, soft, and warm

Very soft and comfortable jacket. Got this for riding early mornings on my Harley. The heating elements warm up quick and stay warm for the entire ride on the highest setting (about an hour one way) with plenty of battery life left. I haven’t run it completely down to zero battery to see exactly how long it would last on high, but I’d estimate at least three to four hours on high by the amount of battery it uses for the hour ride. It looks really great by itself and is definitely something you could wear anywhere you want to be warm. The material is good quality and the liner is very soft and warm even without turning the heaters on. I’ve ridden for 25 years without owning heated gear and after getting this jacket I wish I had one years ago. Read more

Nice jacket but the heating could be better.

As for fit, look, and feel this jacket is nice. Fitment was in line with what id expect, I usually where an xl and this fit me nicely. Feels pretty sturdy outside and inside is nice and plush. As a jacket on its own id say its pretty versatile, it is pretty well insulated and will keep you comfortable on colder days but its not so heavy that you need to get it off the second you walk in a building. Some reviews say the sleeves do nothing and that may be true if you were out riding but for just walking around I find them to be adequate. As for the heating id say its just alright. I only use it on the coldest days (20 and below) and on the highest setting the heat is present but its not as noticeable as id like. According to the description the honeycomb heating is supposed to be superior cause it doesnt have hot spots so you wont sweat and will better evenly distribute the heat but i kinda wish it got hotter and felt like I was wrapped in warmth. Also battery life isnt amazing. On high setting youll only get about 2 hours out of the battery. A minor grievance is that it turns on as soon as you plug in the battery. You can turn it off with the button but after a certain amount of time being turned off you need to unplug the battery and plug it back in to make it work. Overall I like it and there aren't really many other options for heated jackets in this style that I could find but I wish the heating was a little more intense. Read more

Battery Storage Greatly Exaturated may produce a little more heat than milwaukee.

I like the jacket but the advertising is terrible misleading. Battery pack can not store that energy. What I want to know is which jacket out there can produce (use) the most wattage and thereby generate the most heat. Sipper is on the left side of jacket. I subjectively feel it produced more heat than the Milwaukee but I will have to do more testing to prove it. A little honesty buy these companies would be greatly appreciated. Pccket have great heat but material over pocket is very thin. Volts and mAh: The battery is advertised as 12V and 18,400mAh. This is often misleading, as true power banks list their capacity at 3.7V. To get the more accurate watt-hour (Wh) rating, you multiply the voltage by the milli-amp hours (mAh). Wulcea's claimed capacity: 12V * 18.4Ah = 220.8Wh Reality: High-end, branded power banks typically have much lower Wh ratings for similar physical sizes. For instance, a quality 20,000mAh power bank, which is larger and heavier than Wulcea's, typically has a rating of 74Wh (20,000mAh * 3.7V) at the cell level. Read more
