I bought four of these for a Dell R630 server and they work great! They come in the original Dell trays too so they blend right in with my other hard drives in the server! They are part of a RAID6 array I created using the hardware PERC in the Dell server. I recommend these and will purchase them again for some backups. Read more
These were shipped fast, brand new. They were packaged better than I ever seen some drives packaged. Great deal. Read more

So far, so good. The drive doesn't have SMART functionality, so I wasn't able to verify how many power-on hours it really has. Dropped one star because the mounting screws included (7 in total) were of a few different lengths and widths... and weirdly enough, they weren't in a plastic bag -- they were wrapped/sealed in clear packing tape. Updated Review I bought 2 batch's of these 1.2TB 10K RPM SAS drives for a TrueNAS ZFS build. They arrived quickly, were clean, came with carriers, and most importantly: they work — with caveats. While the product is advertised as "new" or "zero-hour," the SMART data tells a different story. SMART Highlights (Across 24 Drives): • Read Errors Corrected by ECC Fast: ranged from 1.6 million to over 5.4 billion • Power-On Time: reported as 4 to 7 days, but the correction count suggests months or years of prior use • Grown Defect List: at least one drive had 2 remapped sectors • Write Corrections: one drive had a single minor write correction • All drives passed SMART, with no uncorrected read or write errors These are clearly pulled enterprise drives that were wiped, SMART logs reset, and resold as “new.” And honestly, that’s what I expected at $44 a drive. Reliability: • 2 of the first 12 were DOA, but the seller replaced them quickly without hassle • Replacements were fine and passed diagnostics • All remaining drives are stable under ZFS with scrub monitoring and monthly long SMART tests What’s good: • Price: unbeatable value at $44 per drive with trays • Enterprise-grade drives, good for RAIDZ2 or mirrored vdevs • No write errors, clean temps, stable performance • Excellent for home NAS, backup pools, test environments What to know: • These are not new drives, regardless of the listing • Expect high ECC counts and some minor wear • Not suitable for mission-critical single-disk deployments Final Thoughts: If you know what you’re buying, this is a great deal. These are used enterprise pulls, and they’re priced fairly for that. I wouldn’t run them in production without redundancy, but in a ZFS environment with regular monitoring, they’re a cost-effective solution. I’d buy them again — I already did — but the listing should be honest about what they are. Original review 2 out of the 6 units arrived DOA—that’s a rough start with a 33% failure rate. I’ll provide an update once the replacements and the next batch I ordered come in. It’s clear these aren’t new units, especially at this price point, and it looks like their SMART hours have been reset. Read more
