The Wyze Plug Outdoor has been a game-changer for my outdoor setup. The dual outlets are super convenient, and I love being able to control each one independently through the Wyze app. Setup was quick and easy, and the connection has been rock-solid. The energy monitoring feature is a great bonus — it’s helped me track power usage and save on my electric bill. Plus, it’s built tough for all kinds of weather. Perfect for holiday lights, garden fountains, or any outdoor gear. Highly recommend! Read more

Easy to setup and has been working great for our Christmas lights. Love that I can set a schedule and not have to worry about turning them on and off each night. Read more

These worked well for me for my needs, however they did have some connectivity issues. They were within 10' of my wifi router but occasionally lost connectivity. As I was 2000 miles away, I had to wait to return to their location to reset, so for a chunk of time they were unavailable and as luck would have it, stuck in the wrong mode (always on, wasting power). Have not given them another chance since, but will do so when I am not so remote. Read more

these are easy to setup - if you have the wyze app click the + button and it walks you through so easily you can have the control outside with Christmas decorations or other seasonal delights auto set timers and just on/off in app makes it so easy Read more

Have two of them. One controls the power to the outdoor lighting transformer. (Removed the internal timer) and the other controls a big zapper or alternatively Christmas lighting. In both cases using only one of two sockets. Wyze app provides a number of control options between schedules and automations. A little bit of a learning curve as you create automations first then attach devices to it but once you get the hang of it it works well. Great value for the price. I also have a number of Wyze plugs that work the same way. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This plug is great. We have one to connect to our garden and porch lights. We can control them from the app or use Alexa. Same device but two commands to use what I want. See video. We got another one to use for outdoor Christmas lights. I love staying inside to turn them on and off. Our first plug has been outside for at least three years. Our porch isn’t horribly dusty because of the wind that blows dirt around and we have high humidity. They have held up very well through that and have had no problems. Read more

Waste of money. Waste of time. What a waste. Returned it the vary same day we received it, canceled our several additional orders being sent to others as gifts...we decided it is not worth the effort and are waiting for an exterior rated device that works with Alexa right out of the box, as "Certified for Humans" promises it should. This device requires downloading and installing a third party app, teaching Alexa new skills for basic control function, creating device accounts with the manufacturer to authenticate/activate the device, uninstalling and reinstalling the app so it will finally be recognized by your Alexa after you've reached this point, clearly NOT a true Certified for Humans device :-( Don't buy, this one is a FAIL...huge fail!!!!!!! I was looking forward to having an exterior rated Alexa plug to control Xmas light, excited to see they finally have one marked as "certified for humans", because everything previously purchased with that notation has been seamless when it came to installing and synchronizing with Alexa. This device fails at the outset. In order to install, you need to download a separate app for Wyze devices, set up another account, "train" the device, add a skill to Alexa for her to recognize and use the device...WTF, Amazon?????????? Certified for Humans is a value added sales tool...it takes into account humans not being the smartest creatures on this planet when it come to setting up IoT stuff. So, my question for Amazon is: how hard is it for Amazon's programmers to make this device native in Alexa, not requiring a third party app just to get it to function in the first place, much less requiring us to teach Alexa a new skill just for her/it to do only part of what she does naturally with every other Certified for Humans device we've purchased. All those previous Certified for Humans devices took roughly 5 minutes to have it 'installed' on our Alexa app, and doing their thing as designed (5 minutes includes time needed for opening the shipping package). So seriously, Amazon, why sell something with the Certified for Humans branding that is 6 steps harder to do than what customers have come to value and appreciate with Amazon's Certified for Humans products???? That was, after all, the idea behind selling stuff as being sold as "Certified for Humans"... Read more
