This Santa suit is very realistic looking and the material is so perfect for a Santa suit. It is very good quality and made of real red velvet that is so soft. We purchased size XL to use for our company breakfast with Santa even and it has fit great on several different size Santa's. We purchased some stuffing and put it in a pillowcase to add some fluff when one of our santa's was a think man. This makes for such a real looking Santa and none of the kids were disappointed. I have been playing Santa for charity events in my area for 12 years and this is my 4th suit and I don't need a fake wig or beard. Shopping online was incredibly hard as there is not a lot of information to make a choice with and descriptions and comments were too generic so I am making a longer post to help others out. Pros: 4 star quality construction quality that I expected for the price (minus the snaps) and great fur, and overalls allow you to bee seen without a coat, and like the picture wearing normal shoes if you want to. Cons: Not a plush velvet just a nice coat like velvet, and the XL size is larger than the XXL size of my previous 3 suits. More detail: The photos of this suit use a cartoon version of a beard so you can't see the collar; which is a shame as this suit has a coat like collar that I find actually nice compared to the poodle collar trimming of most Santa Suit. There is a nice lining in the coat and a great zipper, areas of improvement would be in the use of two small snaps (one at the collar and one at the bottom of coat) with what I expect to be weak in endurance on how they attach to the coat. While without the belt the fur flap between the two snaps would be an issue, but as the Santa effect needs the belt this is a non-issue. I used the sizing information provided and still the arms are so long that I will need to alter them by about 4". I can't see me going down a size as the neck is already too tight. I have a 20" neck and I am 6' tall and weigh 260 with a 48" waist. Their are unique features not listed anywhere about this suit. Like inside the sleeves have a winter coat like elastic cuff I assume is designed if you work out door in parade like events. The belt is the XL belt but is almost at tall as I am which is too big for the suit in my opinion. I love the overalls, while this is not the extremely fluffy suite I am used to it does look good and will allow you to be seen without your coat on and not look out of character and while I purchased new wide top boots this suit does not really require them. The hat being made of the same material as coat and overalls is so huge that it slides all the way to my shoulders and I look like a demonic version of Santa. As the fir part of the hat is very wide if I fold it inward I can get a nice look and the hat fits on my head properly, if this is what the designers intended I think they should have constructed it differently. Now if you wear a very think wig, maybe you need the extra size but that would have to be a very thick wig. As the parts come in a box as pieces I would think one should be able to order just the parts one wants, as I use "Santa Boot" I don't need shoe toppers. As other suit on the market come in garment bags for re-use I would think if I am having to buy this as a set it should include a hanging garment bag designed to hold all the parts properly. This suit will wrinkle so I don't think it can be stored in a box unless you plan on having it re-pressed each time you want to ware it. The idea for me is to have the suite dry cleaned and hung for easy re-use. The fir trim is very good and is one of the best features of this suit. A non-standard part of this suit is the external pockets on the coat that have the fur trimming. These pockets have horizontal zippers in them and as such may make this a good place to store candy canes. I will update this after my first event to see how the suit was perceived by the parents who have seen me for over a decade. Read more
