The "towels" were nice and thick when I first used them - and yes, they did a great job cleaning my induction cooktop and some glassware - but as I used them, they became much MUCH thinner and I was thinking to myself "what the heck did I pay for?!" I thought I had really wasted my money to get a bunch of what I could only assume were paper towels.... how wrong I was!!! As I used them, as I said, they became thinner and thinner and I was expecting them to start shredding but what ended up happening was that they became even better at cleaning! They have become, in essence, thin chamois cloths that I don't even need to use cleaner with to get ANY surface clean and spotless in no time at all. Example: I have patio doors with 15 "lights" and they are separated with external grills so each little window has to be cleaned individually - and I'm a smoker. Cleaning these would usually take me several hours, lots of paper towels and vinegar to cut the nicotine. Not any longer! Using just one of these cleaning cloths, moistened with a little bit of water, the entire project took me about 1/2 hour - that's the equivalent of 60 little windows! And because they're so thin, they easily get into the corners and make mincemeat of that aspect of cleaning. I was so excited, I went to tackle the interior of my refrigerator. With nothing but water on them, every surface in the refrigerator was clean and sparkly and I didn't have to empty out the fridge, take all shelves/baskets to the sink and use my scrubber - not to mention I didn't have to dry any of them either! I just picked up whatever was on the shelf (milk bottle, jar of mayo, egg carton, etc) and wiped the shelf putting the items right back... Talk about a game changer! There are two hated projects ahead of me now (well, I basically hate ANY cleaning project!) - cleaning the inside of my truck and the dreaded countertop oven I use almost on a daily basis... First, I recommend hand washing these with warm water and a few drops of dish soap, then rinsing thoroughly, rather than laundering them, to avoid detergent buildup. Definitely hang dry—do not put them in the dryer. (I wanted to throw that in there after reading some other reviews.) Aside from that, these are great. I originally purchased them as a quick, streak-free solution for wiping down my stainless steel appliances, and they absolutely deliver. It’s so easy to give appliances a fast, streak-free wipe using these cloths. I’m also really impressed with how well they work on hard-to-clean windows, glass, and mirrors using just water.
