XCVI Womens Willow Wide Leg Stretch Poplin Pants

These are my favorite pants--and the one item of clothing I own that seems to have a wide appeal to a vast spectrum of humanity based on comments I get. The ruching/gathering details around the front pockets and down the back are ridiculously flattering and unique. The fabric is very lightweight. I have them in size L (khaki) and size M (brown (cloud), and just ordered this color and black in size M even though they are not on sale, because I feel good all the time when wearing these. And tbh that is worth it right there. Note: These run AT LEAST a size large, I'd say. I wear a 10-12 in most other pants, and the M fits perfectly about 10 minutes after I put it on after I wash and dry it in the dryer. So if you buy a size smaller based on the fact that all the reviews say they run large, but then they are a bit snug when you first try them on, wear them around a bit before deciding they are too small. Currently the size L feels perfect on me just out of the dryer but quickly stretches out to the point where it feels too big, and the amount I have to tighten the drawstring to hold them up makes them gap and bunch up in a way I don't like at the waistline. I think it looks best completely flat with no tension on the drawstrings. Also note: These pants are quite long. I am 5'8" (average length legs, or maybe a bit shorter than average), and with three inch platforms they just reach the ground. In the photos where I am wearing a black tank top, I am wearing flat shoes. In the ones where I am wearing a long sleeve black top, I am wearing the three inch platforms. This is the color called cloud, which most of us call brown.The photos with the long sleeved shirt are more true to color. The back of these is really the star of the pants, but I just can't bring myself to take a picture of my own ass right now. These pants run long, made for long legs and boots! Also there are no belt loops! That being said, I own 5 pairs in all colors and love them. I am willing to hem them and sew belt loops on them, they are so well fitting otherwise! I always get comments on them. Read more

I owned these pants about 10 years ago, and wanted them again. I love the style, even if a bit loose. I'm 5'9", 170 lbs and ordered a Medium (33"). They go may 1/2" on the ground with no shoes on. Honestly, they are bigger than I'd like, but I wouldn't go to a small. I do have a more straight figure, average a size 12 in pants - often pants are tight in the waist for me, and these are looser in the waist than I'd like. You guys. I just received my pants today, and they are easily the most comfortable pair of dress pants I own! The fabric is nice and soft and the strip going up the back of the legs is not as casual as it looks in the pictures. I was nervous to purchase pants online because I'm 6' tall and it's just tough to find things that fit. I stressed over what size to buy and at 6' tall and 165 lbs I decided to buy a 12 based on other reviews. They are a little large (a 10 would have been a more fitted look) but I was scared they would shrink so I will keep them. They are long enough for me to wear with flats but wouldn't work for my height with heels. Read more

These pants are very flattering - but here's the issue: The SIZING is way off!! I wasn't sure on the size so I ordered these in Black, size XS and Mink, size S. Yes, they are long but the overall fit is exactly the same for both pants! (The black were a tad shorter). The fit is a little snug in the hips - but is it an XS or S? Who knows? They do have a bit of stretch. I ended up keeping the Black because I'm short and don't have to hem as much. The cut of the leg is very flattering, especially with a heel or wedge for my height. However, the discrepancy in the overall sizing is unacceptable given the price. Color options should not affect the size. Good luck. For reference, I'm 5'3, 145lbs.
