Initial Review - Arrived Today. Like many of us..... I love researching and then buying a great deal. And that is exactly what I thought I had done here. Make no mistake, this is a great jacket and one I will use for as long as it holds up. BUT, the is Xelement Item Number CF8161 and NOT XS8161. These are two different jackets that look identical from a photo. THIS jacket, CF8161 is the mesh outer with a SINGLE zip-out liner. The XS8161 has the THREE layers with the zip-out liners having two components. I was bummed to find I got the significantly lesser of the two....... but then the price is also a full thirty bucks less. Hence, I really didn't get the deal I thought I found. Xelement Design Marketing worked and got me to buy. I won't fall for it again..... and now you won't have to be humbled as I have. WITH THAT SAID............ This is still an awesome jacket and I will update this review after putting in a 1000 miles or so. Read more

The gun pocket is only a gun pocket with a three eighty. Anything bigger will not fit. Zippers on the outside are way to hard to close. All the pockets are to small. It is comfortable, kept me warm in 40 degrees. Great value for the cost. Good wind protection. I live in Arizona and it never rains here so waterproofing will have to wait. Read more

The zipper is trash. Great Jacket. Love the style the material. Perfect if the Zipper didn't break. The first one I bought, Zipper broke trying it on before I could use it. Yep, returned it. Yes, I brought another one to replace it. After a month, you guessed it, the Zipper broke. Too bad, I really really liked the jacket. I won't spend the money on another one. It's just this red one. The liner zips out and reveals the open mesh material. So it allows a lot of air to flow through and keep it cool. Padding stays in place with the jacket, so the zip out liner will be good for cooler weather when summer is gone. Fits to size. Well worth what I spent for it. Would recommend it to anyone looking for some protection, and keep it lightweight. Bright colors and plenty of adjustment to tighten it up where you need a better fit. Happy with the purchase and would buy again when this one wears out. Read more
