I ordered a bottle of Alexandria II and was not happy. The smell was off and I was unable to return via Amazon return policy. This was a bad experience and this is an expensive bottle of parfum! Read more

1. Most reviews here are off-topic. They range from price-matching issues to returning the product (even though Amazon states that it cannot accept fragrance returns), but don't address the fragrance in terms of what people want to know: strength, longevity, and scent profile. I wish Amazon would doe better at policing these, but I'm also guessing many folks aren't buying Xerjoff from Amazon. 2. People who are bashing the scent, but didn't opt to try a sample of the fragrance (via Xerjoff itself or reputable discounters) shouldn't be complaining about the price. Instead of being out a couple hundred bucks, they could have tried it for < $20 and decided if they wanted a full bottle. 3. Anyone bashing this scent probably only wears "blue" fragrances (eg - Chanel Bleu de Chanel, Prada L'Homme, Armani Acqua di Gio). There's nothing wrong with those perfumes as they're designed to be crowd pleasing scents, but they are in a different league to Xerjoff's Alexandria II (AII). Fragrance notes: This scent is a rich, opulent, cold-weather banger. Loads of warm spiciness (cinnamon), dynamic woods (rosewood, cedar, sandalwood), floral notes (rose, lily of the valley), all supported by a base that includes amber and vanilla. It's a scent that seems familiar, but you can't pinpoint it, which is exactly the point. Think of strolling through an open-air, middle-eastern bazaar in the mid-afternoon. All those wonderful, sumptuous notes are bottled in AII. Projection is phenomenal, which means you could apply less than you typically do as you might go nose-blind and not realize how amazing you smell before overdoing it. Longevity is typical Xerjoff: forever. Okay, maybe not forever, but definitely a solid 12-hours of noticeable scent trail and a few weeks if sprayed directly on clothing. I collect a lot of fragrances and haven't picked up a full bottle of this, but the profile is so unique that I haven't encountered a "clone" of this scent that comes anywhere close. It's unique and you'll smell amazing. Read more
