I bought two of these lighters thru Amazon. One in 2017 and one in 2018. One was in my golf bag and the other in my shop that was used more frequently. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a fellow cigar-guy. Over the years, it's been difficult to find quality, table-sized lighters that last. So far, this gets a "thumbs up" from both of us. It's a weighty, well-made triple-jet butane lighter. It does a nice job both "toasting" and lighting, and the closing top helps to protect the innards. It lights fairly reliably and the flame adjusts easily and well. We both rate the "triple" as more than big enough to do the job while using less gas than the four-fold jet models. At six months, the Xicar has stood up well. It's probably one of the top three on the market right now. If desk-top lighters are your thing, go for it. Read more

Great lighter, Great Customer Service

I purchased this lighter for myself for an early Christmas present. I used it without incident for a month and a half when the internal butane chamber suddenly popped. Needless to say I was a little distraught. However I quickly went on the Xikar site and saw that they had a lifetime warranty. I boxed up the lighter and sent it back to Xikar explaining the issue. To my surprise about a week and a half later a new lighter was waiting on my stoop. The new lighter works even better than the old one, which had trouble lighting in the cold weather of the northeast. I am elated with the new lighter and with the great customer service of Xikar.
