Sexy but mature. I’m 5’3” 188 lbs with an apron tummy and this made me feel so sexy and comfortable. I really wanted to love this dress, but it just doesn't really flatter my figure. I'm 5'4" tall, weigh 148 lbs now (just lost a little bit of weight actually because of some really tough times where a loved one has been in the hospital and the worry just kills my appetite so I'm trying to make sure to eat healthier and get three meals in every day even if I am stressing. Usually I eat my feelings, but not this time.). My measurements are 38D bust, 35" waist and 48" hips. The dress is a gorgeous color in person, a beautiful deep burgundy/ dark wine shade. My shoulders are 16.9" when measured across my back and the shoulders are a bit loose on me and feel like they will fall off. I tried fashion tape but it didn't help much. The fabric of this dress is on the thicker side so this would make a good fall dress, but I live in a warmer area so the combination of the thick fabric and weather and long sleeves just makes me sweat a lot. It is made out of polyester too which doesn't really breathe. It does have a side zipper which makes getting it on and taking it off easier. It has a cute little keyhole detail at the plunging neckline, which is pretty but which means you have to wear a special bra with it if you don't want it to be visible and look funny. That's kind of annoying tbh because the only bra that really works with it for me that I have is one with like half cups that isn't very comfortable, but that isn't really the dress's fault and the keyhole is shown in the ad photos. I wear keyhole and backless and many other types of clothes too with appropriate bras but for some reason this one is just a challenge. It's just at a sort of odd height for me. I did love that the body and skirt was fully lined (everything except the arms is lined) and that the lining was tacked to the skirt so it didn't get bunched up, but the lining is made of another layer of polyester so it adds to the heaviness and how hot you get wearing the dress. It does help to hide any shapewear silhouettes though. The dress also has these pleats at the neckline and at the hips which really emphasize the waist and the hips. Again, I really think this would look really cute on the right person but for me and my height, shape and torso length, it just kind of emphasizes the wrong areas and I don't like how it looks on my figure. I just don't think I can pull it off. I love the way it makes your hips look more voluptuous but I don't like how the waistband is higher and emphasizes my waist like sort of more of a babydoll style. I feel like it makes me look disproportionate because it makes my torso look shorter and my legs look odd like they're going too far up if that makes sense? I usually never obsess over clothing or anything either, maybe I just need some time to get used to my new weight, I lost about 20 pounds worrying about my loved ones health. Sadly for me personally, this dress just is uncomfortable and unflattering, unfortunately. My daughter looks cute in it but it's a bit big, I can take it in about an inch on the sides and it will be perfect. She loves it and with tall boots it is the perfect fall dress. The color is so pretty on her too. She is planning to wear it to our family photo shoot. Read more

The dress looks great on. It’s pretty short, but not terribly so. The material was stretchy but the construction of the dress feels very sturdy and well made. My one complaint is that it is extremely difficult to take off. Had they installed a zipper this would have been a five star review. Read more
