I grabbed this little wicker trash can to tuck into my bathroom corner, and it’s quickly become my favorite everyday upgrade. It’s made of natural water hyacinth and looks so much nicer than plastic—feels well-built with a solid inner structure that gives it real stability. The neutral earthy tone blends into my decor, and the compact size (about 11″ long, 8″ wide, and 11.8″ tall) fits perfectly under a low countertop without hogging valuable space. This is a well made little basket. And, what a nice surprise when I opened the box, to find it had a plastic interior basket. When I ordered it, it just showed the exterior wicker basket, and no mention of the nice interior insert basket. This will help keeping the interior of the wicker clean, and also make it easy to clean when emptying after use. Comes in two designs, plain as shown in the pictures above, and with a different plant weave to create a design around the middle. Almost wish I gotten the design now, but this one still looks nice. There's also a interior woven ring on the lid to help keep it in place. The basket stands 11" tall and is 11" across at the top. The bottom weaving is flat and level, and doesn't wobble at all. Very stable. While I got this for the bathroom, I think it would be a great little basket for next to a chair or couch, or even next to or under a desk. Even though I've had it for just a short while, I think it's going to prove to be very durable for a long time, particularly with having the removable interior basket. I'm very happy with it, and probably going to order one for my living room, because it looks great, and is very unintrusive. Also think it will fit any decor. Can't believe I got really excited about a trash can and I really wish I had taken some pictures! Got for my bedroom and this is a great size to have next to the table by my bed. Comes with a line, which is a plus in my book AND a lid! I have a pup that is almost 2 years old and she LOVES to get ahold of stuff she can chew and tear up. Heaven forbid I leave a paper towel on my bedside table, it will be shredded somewhere in my house. So the lid solves this. The wicker fits my decor and will not only meet my expectations, but exceed them because of the liner and lid. Is it a bit pricey, yes it is, but ask yourself, is having a liner to help protect the wicker worth it? And having a lid to hide whatever you've tossed in or even a plastic trash bag in the liner, makes it esthetically pleasing in my book. This has been one of my better finds! Read more

I’m the cheapskate who buys and displays dollar plastic trash cans from IKEA, whatever is the minimum price and product that meets my needs, so this beautiful little wicker trash can is really high end for me…and I love it for a change! It has me wowed! In spite of the outer material not being heavy, a sturdy plastic inner can keeps the exterior from deflecting, and the construction of the bottom of the inner can also forces it to sit on the floor solidly. The lid (with a cute little ring on top to lift it up) is a finishing touch that gives it a nicer look than an open can. Personally, I wouldn’t use a wicker can in the bathroom because flush germs that plume outward would find a home in the weave, including on/in the lid that you necessarily touch to pick it up. Anything unsmooth in a bathroom, such as rugs, needs to be able to be tossed into a washing machine…imo. It is beautifying my living room, see pic. At $47.99, it is a little pricey. $48 for a small wastebasket may seem to some to be overly expensive. However, this one is worth its price. The size is perfect for under my computer desk, and the appearance is bucolic yet not in the least bit coarse or rudimentary. It looks like something made by a skilled wicker craftsman . There is a plastic bucket inside, and it's cleverly furnished with a ring for the top to keep the liner from slipping down. There's also a wicker-wound metal ring attached to the underside of the top, which keeps the top centered on the lower part. This is marketed as a wastebasket, but I could well see it used for general-purpose storage of other things, especially when the storage is to be in an area of high visibility.
