I've been using this soap for well over a decade; my purchase history is full of repeat purchases of 16-20 bars at a time because I know I'll go through them. Normally, I love the smell, find the little bits of oatmeal & almond in the bar tends to give it just a touch of exfoliating power without being scratchy. Great stuff, and bought in bulk not too pricey as far as soaps go. That said, my last order of these I had to throw out most of the bars. When I opened each individual box, there's no other way to put it: they WREAKED of cigarette smoke. I tried using a bar, figuring it couldn't be more than surface-deep and the smell would go away. Nice fragrance. Not harsh. Might even wash my cat with it. Just kidding. Would need falconer's gloves and body armor to do that. Aside from cat washing attempts, the soap is soothing. Have psoriasis with painful itches at times and this soap seems to calm the skin strain pain. And where did that cat go? Read more
