It works very well. I have made chello for years with a gas stove and no issues, but for the past 15 years I had an electric stove and lost my skill in making rice. I am back to a gas stove but I have lost the trick or confidence to do it manually. This rice cooker is perfect because it works and saves stove space. Your rice can cook while your khoresh is simmering on the stove. The instructions could be better though. I followed the recipe using the provided “cup” and I doubled it, but doubling the water seemed too much so I followed advice I saw on YouTube which said the water should cover the rice by about a half inch. For better flavor, I should have used a combination of oil and butter. I used canola oil which was fine but I will try the other one recommended. It makes perfect tahdig every time and you can control the crispiness of the crust via the dial on the front. It can also be used as a regular rice cooker just don’t use oil in there when trying to use it for regular rice. It’s easy to clean, store and maintain. Read more

I love this rice cooker, perfect size for making small batches of rice. I used it as soon as I got it to make rice with tahdig- which came out perfectly!! The only negative comment I have is about the cup that came with it! The measurements are very confusing and incorrect, don’t match the booklet. For a beginner it is hard to figure out the correct ratios. I actually cooked my rice the old fashion way, eyeballing water to rice ratio since I have been cooking rice over 35 years!! Read more
