It's truly 100% cotton which is what first attracted me to them, because I avoid buying synthetic fabrics as much as possible. These cardi's are maybe fractionally short on me because I am not very slim and Im fairly tall, I know they are cropped style but a wee bit longer would be good in the larger sizes. I normally take an XL for most things, 5'8" tall and I am 46" measured around my bust (not under bust but over bust, under is 42"), I originally sized up to the 3XL based on the size charts but I ended up fitting the 1XL, if you go larger the gathered shoulder falls over the edge of your shoulder line and you lose the shape of the cardigan, which can look ok if that is what you want. So, I only sized up one from my usual. I have broad shoulders and I am NOT a slim waist either. Probably not the most ideal shaped top for my body shape but I just love this cardi anyway. I'd probably never actually wear it buttoned up either. I have a few colors now and have tried and returned a few others. The magenta is a really nice shade, hard to capture on camera, it's a cool deep pink, magenta is a pretty good description of it, it looks way better in reality than the photo, the photo of the lady in the listing wearing the magenta cardigan holding the pink guitar depicts this color most accurately, it's great on cool toned skin as not a yellow based pink. The Blush is really like milk coffee color, no pink or peach in it, lovely color for a true neutral, but washed me out a wee bit. It was too like my skin color. But I did actually like the shade. The light blue and aqua are quite similar, just pastel blue to pastel greeny light aqua or mint, both really nice. And navy is a bit of a faded navy but I liked it and kept it. The Oatmeal is really quite cream, I'd hoped for a more gray/beige based oatmeal, still it's a beautiful color if you suit a yellow based cream. The peach beige has a coral undertone, didn't work on my cool toned skin. I haven't tried the kelly green yet, but i have deduced that it is more blue undertone than yellow and Im thinking of getting that too. This 100% Cotton Fabric is very soft natural feeling cotton, quite stretchy, not stiff or coarse, slightly delicate, so be gentle with it, I wash it in a clothing protection bag and hang to dry, I'm too scared of shrinking it, which cotton will do with too much heat. But I'll take 100% cotton any day over plastic clothes that pill and bobble in one wear, look chintzy and have a catchy feel on the fingers like acrylic or nylon, that don't breathe and get thrown away in 3mths. Can you tell I hate synthetic fabric? there's too much of it around and it's not environmentally friendly either! So, Yes COTTON for the win here. Id loved to see different versions of this sort of cotton cardi, with the interesting knits and thoughtful design, maybe slightly longer through the body. But really this is a gorgeous cardigan and I am very happy with it. Read more
